03The Hardware building

The device. The firmware. The software around it.

We develop device prototypes, embedded firmware and companion applications. Electronics, connectivity, power and operating conditions are considered together.

Electronics · Firmware · Connected Devices · Projects from ₹5 lakh

Floor 01 · How we work

Four stages. Something concrete to review at each.

We agree responsibilities, review points and acceptance criteria before the build. Each stage produces something concrete to discuss.

  1. 01

    Define the brief.

Map the users, current process and intended result. Prioritise the first release and identify dependencies, budget and decision-makers.

You review: the scope & acceptance criteria.
  2. 02

    Review the approach.

Review the important decisions through a prototype, storyboard or technical plan. Resolve the largest unknowns before full production.

You review: a prototype, plan or sample.
  3. 03

    Build and test.

See working releases at agreed milestones. Check complete journeys and record feedback against the approved requirements.

You review: working milestones & test results.
  4. 04

    Launch and hand over.

Complete acceptance checks and the agreed documentation, access and training. Confirm who owns operation, maintenance and the next release.

You review: the release & handover pack.

Floor 02 · What you get

What your engagement can include.

The proposal defines the deliverables selected for your project, their depth and how they will be reviewed.

01

System architecture

Requirements, interfaces, component selection and a proposed bill of materials.

02

Prototype & firmware

Prototype electronics and embedded logic for the agreed device functions.

03

Connected software

Device communication, configuration tools and dashboards where the scope requires them.

04

Verification & next steps

Functional checks, documentation and a plan for further engineering, manufacturing or specialist assessment.

Typical projects

  • A hardware concept that needs a working prototype
  • A device that needs firmware and a connected interface
  • A sensor or machine integration with business software
  • An edge-AI concept that needs a feasibility assessment

Floor 03 · An example we can scope

A sensor device with a connected dashboard

An example brief: collect a measurement, process it on a device and make it available to an operator. Electronics, firmware and the interface are scoped together.

  1. 01

    Capture the required input

  2. 02

    Process it in embedded firmware

  3. 03

    Communicate with the application

  4. 04

Show device status and usable information

Illustrative project brief

Floor 04 · Scope & cost

What must the device do in its real environment?

We first separate technical feasibility from manufacturing and deployment requirements. The proposal states the prototype stage, hardware quantities, tests and exclusions. Custom engineering engagements start at ₹5 lakh; components and production costs are scoped separately.

International proposals are available in USD. Your proposal identifies dependencies, review milestones and acceptance criteria, with recurring licences, hardware, travel and support itemised where relevant.

01

Operating conditions

Define inputs, power, connectivity, enclosure constraints and the environment where the prototype will be evaluated.

02

Prototype stage & quantities

State whether you need a feasibility demonstrator, engineering prototype or a later production stage, and how many units.

03

Supply & specialist work

Account for components, fabrication, lead times and any enclosure, manufacturing or independent assessment work.

Discuss your requirements

Floor 05 · Review & handover

Make completion something you can check.

We use the agreed scope to define the reviews and evidence your team needs before acceptance.

  • Demonstrate the agreed functions on the specified prototype.
  • Check the device-to-software communication path.
  • Record measured behaviour under the agreed test conditions.
  • Document limitations and the work needed for the next engineering stage.

The handover belongs in the plan.

Specify firmware and design-file access, the bill of materials, interface documentation, test records and prototype quantities. Manufacturing and specialist assessments are separate deliverables when required.

Floor 06 · Projects

Projects to explore.

Floor 07 · Questions

Project questions.

Can you develop firmware and the companion application?

Yes. We scope the device behaviour, communication interfaces and user application as one connected system.

Do you take an idea directly into mass production?

Production readiness is a separate engineering milestone. Component availability, enclosure design, manufacturing, testing and any required assessments need their own scope and partners.

Can you build AI hardware or edge-AI systems?

We can assess and prototype integrations between AI software and selected hardware. The workload, latency, power, connectivity and operating environment determine feasibility.

Does a prototype include certification?

A prototype does not establish certification. Any required specialist testing, regulatory assessment or certified components are identified and scoped separately.
